Can I use GRIT’s automated Gate Control without having GRIT control my dust collector?
Yes! Your GRIT system will function without having an associated dust collection system, however, for the best automation results, we recommend integrating all shop machines.
How do I know which Collector device I need?
If you have a collection system that simply plugs into the wall outlet, choose either our 120v or 220v Collector.
If you have a collection system with a contactor, choose our MagSwitch Collector.
If you have a collection system with a remote control, choose our iR/RF Collector.
If you have a collection system with a variable frequency drive, choose our VFD Collector.
Is installation difficult?
The effort involved for installing your Collector device varies slightly from type-to-type, however, The GRIT Manual has detailed installation instructions. Also, find installation videos on the ‘Videos’ tab of the Collector.
