The ground rules for using GRIT Automation services, hardware, and cloud platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Grit Automation services, including the GRIT Cloud and GRIT Hub ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

Service Description

Grit Automation provides automation solutions including cloud-based services and on-premises hub devices. Our Services are designed to help you automate and manage various systems and processes.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

Hub Device Responsibilities

For GRIT Hub devices:

  • You are responsible for the physical security of the device
  • You must ensure proper network configuration and security
  • You are responsible for maintaining appropriate access controls
  • You acknowledge that the Hub operates on your network infrastructure

Acceptable Use

You may not use our Services to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Transmit malicious code or interfere with system operations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or damages our Services

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services are owned by Grit Automation and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Disclaimers

Important

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Limitation of Liability

Important

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grit Automation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Grit Automation from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

SMS Text Messaging Terms

Consent and Opt-In

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS text messages from Grit Automation, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages regarding:

  • Service alerts and system notifications
  • Account updates and security notifications
  • Support communications
  • Product updates (if opted in)

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and preferences. You may receive up to 10 messages per month, though typical usage is 2–4 messages per month.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply. Grit Automation does not charge for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier's standard rates will apply.

Opt-Out Instructions

How to opt out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message
  • Updating your communication preferences in your account settings
  • Contacting support at info@gritautomation.com

Upon opt-out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS service is compatible with major US carriers including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
